Sainik School Coaching in Vijayawada (About)
- Class VI – Only boys aged 10 to 12 years old on March 31, 2022 (born between April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2012, inclusive) are eligible.
- Class IX – Only boys between the ages of 13 and 15 as of March 31, 2020 (born between April 1, 2005 and March 31, 2007, both days inclusive) are eligible.
- The wards of servicemen killed in action are eligible for six-month age relaxation.
- Education for Class VI: There are no prerequisites for this class.
- For Class IX: Before the date of admission to Rashtriya Military School, the candidate must have completed Class VIII from a government/recognized school. Students in the eighth grade are also eligible.
Admission and Eligibility Criteria for Sainik School Coaching in Vijayawada
Medical: Prior to admission, selected candidates will be required to pass a medical examination at Military Hospitals nominated by the Director General of Medical Services, and only those declared medically fit will be admitted.
The pattern of Entrance Exams
On December 22, 2022, the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to Class VI and IX will be held (Sunday). The test will be administered using an automated OMR system.
Class VI: In the disciplines of intelligence, general knowledge, mathematics, and English, it will be of class V standard.
Class IX: It will be equivalent to class VIII in English, Hindi, Social Science, Mathematics, and Science.
Under No Circumstances Is A Relaxation Of The Age Limit Permissible
RESERVATION
Schedule Caste applicants receive 15% of available seats, while Schedule Tribe candidates receive 7.5 percent. Children of current and former military members are entitled to 25% of the remaining slots. The remaining seats will be reserved for boys from the state where the Sainik Schools are situated, with 67 percent of the seats going to boys from the state where the Sainik Schools are located. In order to ration the male population of other States and Union Territories, the remaining 33 percent of seats will be made available to boys from other States and Union Territories. Any seats in this category that are not filled will be combined with seats from the home state.
In addition to the 300 points made aside for the Written Examination in Class VI and 400 marks put aside for the Written Examination in Class IX, 50 marks will be set aside for interviews in both VI and IX classes. On the basis of overall marks, a merit list for admission to the Sainik School will be compiled. If there is a tie in overall marks, the mathematics grades will be taken into account. In the event of a tie, the marks for English in Class IX and the Intelligence Test in Class VI will be taken into account, followed by the marks for General Science in Class IX and language in Class VI.
If there is a tie, the student who is younger in age shall be chosen. It will not be essential for a student to qualify for the interview separately; his position in the final merit list will be determined by his performance in both the writing exam and the interview .
